Green and Gold

Today is the Packer's first pre-season game. Everyone who knows me, knows I am a die hard fan. (Maybe second only to one of my friends who I game with on Sunday that will remain nameless but plays a paladin/cleric) This year may cause a few skip beats of the hearts, and more than likely a disappointing season, but I will be along for the ride every week. I made it through the low times in the 80's, rode high in the 90's, and have been watching a better than average but not the best team in the NFL during the 2k years.

This year the Packers have alot of issues....Young and untested defense, New faces in the offense line, a couple players wanting new deals, some new coaches...but we still have Brett Favre. Many feel as I do that having Favre is enough of a factor to be competitive int he league. Who knows how many years Favre has left in him, but I'd take my chances with him any day (look how many other teams have nothing at that position) I fear for the day he is gone, and both he and Green could be gone next year (Green's last year of his contract)but as a fan we take one year at a time, and thats this year.

So tonight's game may or may not be telling of how the season will go, but I will be watching it and enjoying every HD moment of it.
