I Think They Meant OUR Troops

Moveon.org made a spiffy little commercial about the US Occupation of Iraq and how the Republicans have no plan to end it. (They obviously don't understand that the military wants to win first). They aired it on CXNN and on Thankgsgiving day to pull on the heart strings as well. But the best part is....
"Cut to a shot of forlorn soldiers in Iraq with mess kits," the press release said. The announcer says 150,000 American men and women are "stuck in Iraq."

Problem is that they used footage of British soldiers....OOPS!

I found this graphic which about sums up Moveon.org

Just another example of the idiots that don't have a clue as t what is taking place, they only want to focus on their agenda.

I don't think you would ever blog anything that you didn't believe to be true, but what makes you believe they are British troops? The links you provide don't say that. The blogs of US soldiers that I've followed had similar uniforms.

Those are British troops stationed down near the Basra region of oeprations. British uniforms, battle pattern camo, and British weapons.
The least the idiots at Move Over .org could do, if they are trying to speak in our names is to get the basics right. The basic issue is the fact that they don't speak for us. Re-enlistment rates are at a record high, since those of us who have and will again serve there, see the difference we make, first-hand. This is just political crap by the rabid liberals who can't see past their own hatred.

Rob you are right I was a little lazy and didn't link to what I was talking about. Anyways in the ad, Moveon.org shows troops while talking about bringing home our troops the troops they show are here, they are wearing shorts which is not US military issue, not to mention clearly the person behind him is wearing british camo. To compound the issue they tried to cover it up by doctoring it which is shown here. Of course they will probably bring up the old "Fake but Accurate" description again.

I lost any respect for Move On during the election when I went to a meeting of their PAC to get out the vote. The instruction was to try to find out who they were probably going to vote for. If it was Bush, thank them for their time and leave. If it was for Kerry then see if they needed help getting to the poll, if they wanted a reminder call etc. Basically the same thing both sides were complaining about the other side doing. I expect higher standards.

Getting the wrong troops is a stupid, careless mistake.
