Picture for John Kerry

John Kerry said about the troops
"You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

I guess this picture sums it up well

Dear Satan - RE: End of the World

Hello Prince of Darkness, I wanted to write to you today about Today, June 6th, 2006 or 6/6/6. I know those are your numbers and you want to dominate this world with your evil and such, but could you hold off for awhile? I mean it is just beginning to warm up outside and being nice out for weather. Also I have a trip to NY planned in July for my anniversary, and I haven't ever been there. Also Battlestar Galactica ended on such a cliff hanger and I really want to know what happens next, which I won't if you manifest yourself and cover the world in Blood and Brimstone.

So Beezlebub, to recap, stay home today and procasinate a little bit. There will always be another 6/6/6 for you create havoc and bring the End of Days. Plus Arnie can still kick your ASS.

I'm terribly worried. I wasn't taken at 6:66 am this morning. Then I realized that our method of telling time offends God. Now I'm waiting to see what will happen in 7:06 tonight.

Oh, and besides, (I know you were waiting for this post, but I'm remiss in my commenting), since it was already the 6th by the time you posted your comment, you were already safe since, as we all know, the true Number of the Beast is actually 616, (see Wikipedia).

Of course there's always the theory that the end of the world has already come, and this is Hell, (a truly plausible idea at that, given my current circumstances).

You Can Get "IT" on Ebay

Thinking back on the Weird Al song Ebay song from the song That Way by the Backstreet Boys, Weird Al came up with alot of funny things on Ebay. This one however is real. It is the Seahawk dog, a Hot Dog bought in the 3rd quarter of the Seahawk/Carolina championship game.
Up for auction is a 100% Authentic Super Dog from the Seattle Seahawks NFC Championship game againest the Carolina Panthers.

Own a piece of history here! This SUPER DOG was bought towards the end of the 3rd quarter at QWEST Field during the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP game.

This dog could be an addition to anyones collection of oddities, its a piece of history folks!! The Seattle Seahawks are on their way to the BIG GAME in Detroit Baby!!

Thanks for looking & GO HAWKS!!
Now this is Cute, but it is currently at $1,750!

For those of use that are big Seahawk fans but can't afford $1,750, how about air from the game?? Or how about a Fart Jar from the locker room....that you can put up on your mantle and be proud of!

Mangravy, Man Gravy, or Man-gravy?

The 18th annual Welcon was this weekend, the second one that I have been able to make. This is a weekend of gaming, friends, and food at the host's house.

On Friday I was privileged to play in a Star Wars miniatures battle system game, with and I quote, "No Stinking Plastic Figs". This is always a fun game to be in and this time was no exception. My team played the imperials and I think we killed as many Rebels (read terrorists - how many civilians did they kill in those movies?) as we killed our own troops for losing morale. Grossman is a hard commander to serve under.

On Saturday we resumed a WWII Champions game from 2 years ago. The fun part of Champions for me are the disadvantages. The hero I played is called Major Victory who has an under confidence disadvantage. There were a lot of laughs in that game including....

MAN-GRAVY

This was the word of the weekend. Credit for the word is given to Steve K. The question of one word or two and is it hyphenated came up and above I made that decision. Anyways the good man-gravy quotes of Saturday night were:

"I'm going to try and get out of the man-gravy but I am not sure I can do that"

"I have man-gravy stuck in this part of my brain and I can't get it out"

"If you get shot in the head with man-gravy you are bound to get some in your mouth"

And as an aside comment, none of the spellings of man-gravy came up as needing to be changed by spell checker, so maybe Steve didn't make that up....

What is man-gravy? When I hear it, I think of what they didn't clean off Monica's dress. That might work for the last 2 quotes, particularly the last one, but I don't think it would make sense for the first one.

It Almost Sounds Real...

From Blame Bush
There's obviously no limit to the depths of depravity the U.S. military will sink in order to kill the enemy while saving their own skins. According to Australian newspapers, sadistic U.S. soldiers were spotted burning the bodies of Taliban freedom fighters in a twisted ploy to lure their comrades out of hiding.

It's all one big joke to the right-wing chickenhawks, but to the Muslim people the mutilation of the dead is considered a vile form of desecration fit only for civilian contractors and Jews. In accordance with Islamic law, the deceased must be ritually bathed and buried facing Mecca, or they will be reincarnated as 7-ll clerks with hairy foreheads and bad dispositions.

After the infamous genital-mocking incidents at Abu Ghraib prison, and the rampant Quran-mishandling atrocities at Gitmo, one would think that the U.S. military would be a little more careful not to offend radical muslim clerics and Democrat senators. While human decency requires that we mock and ridicule barbaric Christian traditions like monogamy and pre-marital abstinence, Islam is a rich tapestry of religious customs that must be respected and preserved. It's not too much to ask that troops take a little time out from their oh-so-busy schedule to sponge-bathe the bodies of those they've viciously slaughtered, bury them facing Mecca, and then dance around the sacred yak while a licensed union imam screeches like a wounded hyena through a ceremonial bullhorn. If soldiers would simply educate themselves about the Religion of Peace, then perhaps they'll come to respect other Muslim traditions as well - such as flying planes into buildings and sawing the heads off infidels.
